Message of Sympathy and Update Regarding the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake

Our thoughts are with everyone in the affected areas, and we sincerely hope for a swift recovery and reconstruction of the communities impacted by this disaster.
Immediately after the earthquake, we began confirming the safety and well-being of individuals connected with our Association.

We are pleased to report that the guide dog user to whom our Association has provided a guide dog, as well as the guide dog itself, have both been confirmed safe and unharmed.

In addition, we are currently working with relevant organisations to prepare support activities for people with visual impairments in the affected areas. As the situation develops and support needs become clearer, our Association stands ready to dispatch staff and contribute to relief efforts as required.

We will continue to work closely with partner organisations and remain committed to supporting people with visual impairments affected by this disaster.

Our sincere thoughts remain with all those impacted. We pray for the safety, health, and well-being of everyone affected, and for the earliest possible recovery and rebuilding of the affected communities.
