Updates on IGDF Conference 2026 in Yokohama, Japan
Preparations for the
IGDF Conference 2026
are on the go!
Thursday, 14th May to Sunday, 17th May 2026

As we come closer to the opening of the Conference, the Japan Guide Dog Association (JGDA) and our co-hosts are gathering all resources to make the event a rich and successful opportunity for everyone.
This year’ theme is ‘Guiding Tomorrow’.
Here are some of the exciting events and presentations you will be able to encounter at the conference.
What is coming up:
- Workshops & Presentations: Worldwide researchers and explorers offering lectures and discussions of their latest works and insights.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with guide dog professionals and advocates worldwide.
- Facility Tours: Optional visits to JGDA’s Kanagawa Training Centre and Fuji Harness.
- Cultural Experiences: Performances by Japanese musicians and artists who despite of difficulties mastered their skills in performing arts.

Notes from the event team
· Please keep eye on updates from travel agencies regarding tours and hotels
· Upon arrival, please guide yourself to 5F of Convention Center, for other events are being held at ground level.
· Translation service (Wordly) is offered for workshops, so please be supplied with necessary devices such as laptops and mobile phones (Free-Wi-Fi-service available).
· For Plenary sessions and panel discussions, translation headphones are provided, yet numbers are limited and will need to be returned at the end of the conference.
